As the name suggests, there’s no Gi to grab
This results in intense conditioning and fast paced sparring, with opponents often slipping out of submissions.
Because of this, techniques taught here emphasize angles, take downs and small joint locks, sharing a good number of similarities with folk, freestyle, Greco-Roman and catch wrestling.
Currently, we only offer one No-Gi class a week, but it is highly recommended to all students to attend as it forces them to broaden their perspectives and find new approaches to problem solving.
This almost always has a positive effect on the student’s technique and overall gi game.
