Here you will find practitioners with established fighting styles.
Usually consisting of purple, brown, and black belts, the format of the class is the same as the fundamentals class. Consisting of a warm-up, followed by multiple techniques, and finally rolling(sparring).
The main difference here being the increased intensity of conditioning and rolling as well as the complexity of techniques.
Students here are expected to keep an open mind, focus on technique over strength, and prioritize the safety of themselves and their partner(s) as they work on advanced concepts of BJJ, such as timing and misdirection, double and triple attacks, and riskier techniques like leglocks or throws.
